Chatter Box: (New)

Spend your lunch hour at SOHOlife! Why spend your lunch time waiting in line of a crowded restaurant? Grab a take away and spend your lunch hour with us. Chatter Box is a lunch hour activity where you can relax and chat about any topic you want; work, stress, dates, party, you name it. You will be able to practice your social speaking skills while fulfilling your lunch hour crave at the same time!

Around the world:

This will be a chance for students to learn about different parts of the world, what it looks like and to learn something about the culture, not from magazines or shows, but from first hand experiences.  Tutors are to share information about their home and other places they have visited, and then invite students to do so too.  So, this will be an ongoing activity for students to share what they know.Other activities for the club maybe to organise for some food to be brought in or visits to different cuisines to get a taste of the different kinds of food, and to practice use of English at the restaurants.

Movie club:

A common occurrence is that students watch a movie and then end up not quite knowing what just happened, so they always end up relying on the Chinese subtitles.  So, by holding a movie club, we can let the students share their ideas about movies, possibly even watch movies together to help one another through.Movies can be watched as a group in several activity sessions or can if the tutor can arrange a date with students; they can go to watch a more recent release.

Price:  $1000/ month
